Crest promoter Dr. Raja Ramanna passes away
The father of India's nuclear programme Dr Raja Ramanna passed away this (24 Sep) morning at 3.15 am. An eminent scientist, academic and a lover of music, the versatile Dr Ramanna was also the chairman (until 20 Sep.) of India's leading animation studio Crest Communication Limited.

Coincidentally, Dr Ramanna passed over chairmanship of the company to his son Shyam at the Crest AGM held just four days ago on Monday 20 Sept. His death has been condoled b
y the country's Prime Minister and President.

Israel's Camera Obscura invites world's best animation schools for joint project on people's rights

NID's Nina Sabnani has recently returned to India from Israel. The Tel Aviv based Camera Obscura School of Arts had invited representatives from 7 of the best Animation schools from across the globe to participate and develop special projects on peoples rights.

Besides NID, some of the other institutes that were invited to send representatives were the RCA london and School of Visual Arts, New York.

Paradox Studios Appoints Ninad Chhaya as Executive Producer

Paradox Studios has appointed Ninad Chhaya as Executive Producer, "to further strengthen the core team for game development." says the company release.

Making the announcement, Anurag Khurana, CEO, Paradox Studios, said, "Ninad's decision to move to Paradox as Executive Producer was a natural progression of utilizing his skills and experience to build a gaming company of international repute. Paradox's ambitious growth plan perfectly complements Ninad's vast gaming & organizational experience and marks the beginning of a prosperous alliance."
