Dhruva's Chaplin mobile game due for Nov. release
Come November and bangalore based game developer, Dhruva Interactive, plans to release the first in a series of games that it is developing around cinema's first genius, Charlie Chaplin.

Dhruva CEO Rajesh Rao told Animation 'xpress, "We worked hard to articulate our plans and concepts and to convince the Chaplin family that we would upkeep the values associated with Chaplin."

Pyramid Entertainment acquires Indian home video rights for 3 European animated movies
The Movies are 'Tale of three bears from Spain and Papyrus and Jojo from France. The distributor has in the past 6 months acquired and sold the Indian rights for more than 10 animated movies and 200 episodes including Pokemon.
Discreet releases 3D Max 7
The Mumbai launch was very well attended and some of the new features had the audience appluading. Raman Madan, regional manager for South East Asia and the Indian sub continent told Animation 'xpress that he was confident that this new version would have a lot of the animation community queing up for upgrades.
IDC grooming animators with individualistic styles
The Industrial Design center which is within the IIT Campus at Powai, Mumbai, has an elective course in animation as part of its Visual Communication curriculum. Shilpa Ranade, who is in charge of the animation department, laments that there is no personal animation in India. She says, "Out here at IDC we try and encourage students to explore their own individualistic styles"
