      FICCI to organise seminar 13 Aug. on 'Career Opportunities in Animation and Gaming '
 
     


FICCI
(Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) is organising a seminar on 'Career Opportunities in Animation and Gaming' on 13 August, at the FICCI Federation House in Tansen Marg, New Delhi.

The speakers include NASSCOM chief Kiran Karnik, FICCI adviser Vivek Bharati, Jadooworks' Ashish Kulkarni, Dhruva's Rajesh Rao, MPC CMD Ramesh Sharma, Arena Chief Atul Vohra, Escotoonz CEO A D. Mehta and BCS CEO Reena Ashok.

Aimed at apprising students and young professionals about the opportunities and prospects in the animation and gaming sector, the organisers have not kept any registration charges or entry fee.

On being contacted, Sumeet Gupta Assistant Director FICCI pointed out that "As per industry estimates, the animation industry in India is growing at a CAGR of 30% Besides the increase in the backend service work, the country's studios are moving up the value chain, hence industry is witnessing more co-production deals and even development of Intellectual Properties."

"Due to increased quantum of work and emergence of new technologies, animation and gaming industry will soon require a steady steam of trained professionals." he added, underlining the importance of holding such meets.
