NEW
DELHI: Dubai-based Taj TV's sports channel Ten Sports has
syndicated the cable, satellite and terrestrial rights in
the UK for Indias tour of Sri Lanka to Zee International.
While
the radio rights in UK and Europe have already been sold to
BBC, DirecTV will telecast the matches in North and Central
America. The sportscaster has further solicited deals with
Astro for telecast in Malaysia and Fox Sports for Australia.
The
telecast will also be available to the subscribers of Spize
TV in Continental Europe, and Supersport across Africa.
Sri
Lankan cricket is incredibly dynamic and colourful, and we
are keen to bring that excitement to millions of fans across
the world," says Taj TV Ltd CEO Chris McDonald. "We
broadcast and syndicate half of the worlds cricket,
and it is our responsibility to the various cricket boards
as well to the game of cricket itself to ensure the widest
possible audience for all matches we produce.
The
Indian tour of Sri Lanka began today, 23 July and will comprise
three test matches and five one-day internationals.
