NEW DELHI: Dubai-based Taj TV's sports channel Ten Sports has syndicated the cable, satellite and terrestrial rights in the UK for India’s tour of Sri Lanka to Zee International.

While the radio rights in UK and Europe have already been sold to BBC, DirecTV will telecast the matches in North and Central America. The sportscaster has further solicited deals with Astro for telecast in Malaysia and Fox Sports for Australia.

The telecast will also be available to the subscribers of Spize TV in Continental Europe, and Supersport across Africa.

“Sri Lankan cricket is incredibly dynamic and colourful, and we are keen to bring that excitement to millions of fans across the world," says Taj TV Ltd CEO Chris McDonald. "We broadcast and syndicate half of the world’s cricket, and it is our responsibility to the various cricket boards as well to the game of cricket itself to ensure the widest possible audience for all matches we produce.”

The Indian tour of Sri Lanka began today, 23 July and will comprise three test matches and five one-day internationals.
