MUMBAI: TBWA\India has bagged the creative account of Planet M retail in a multi agency pitch. The account size is pegged at Rs 200 million and the agency will be responsible for building and reconnecting the brand with the consumers in its “renewed avatar.”

Says Planet M CEO Subir Ghosh, “We have aggressive growth plans and are looking at redefining our business. TBWA\, with its disruption philosophy, is the perfect fit for our ambitious endeavour. Their creative idea for the brand is centered around the experience we are defining for our stores and was not an advertising campaign alone. This gave us the confidence that they could partner us in our business, rather than just being suppliers of creatives."

“Obviously, we are very happy to get the opportunity to partner Planet M. But, in all honesty, TBWA\’s job becomes simpler when the client already has a disruptive vision for his business. Planet M perhaps found our disruption practice the perfect way to carry forward its brand’s vision,” adds TBWA\India West COO Madan Mohan.

Planet M, initially a chain of music retail stores, was originally owned by Bennett Coleman & Company. It was later sold to Next Retail India, Videocon's retail unit in late 2007.
