Johnny Walker unveils F1 promotion in India

MUMBAI: Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker has unveiled the Mercedes Mclaren MP4 23 showcar at the Tax and duty free outlet operated by Nuance Group India at the Bengaluru International Airport.

This marks the beginning of a F1 promotion.

The car was unveiled by Diageo India director - travel r0etail and reserve on-premise Ray Martins, BIAL chief commercial officer Manisha Grover and Nuance Group India CEO V Shivkumar.

The Johnnie Walker promotion will present an opportunity for Nuance duty free shoppers and F1 enthusiasts to experience the first night race ever at the Singapore Grand Prix. The promotion will run till 7 September, 2008.

On the purchase of two bottles of Johnnie Walker Black Label or a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, a lucky consumer stands to win a couple package to the first ever Night Race in Singapore.

The visit will include an all expense paid trip with a VIP package at a five star hotel, grandstand tickets, access to the Johnnie Walker F1 parties and a complete Johnnie Walker experience. The lucky draw will conclude on 8 September at the Bengaluru International Airport. Moreover, consumers can also win other exciting prizes and merchandise.

In addition, consumers can get photographed with their favorite sports car, the marvelous Johnnie Walker - Mercedes Mclaren MP 24, that will be on display at the Nuance duty free till July 28 as part of the Johnnie Walker F1 promotion. As a part of the responsible drinking initiative promoted by Johnnie Walker, consumers can sign on a pledge board and Join the Pact with their favorite F1 hero Lewis Hamilton to ‘Never Drink and Drive’.
