MUMBAI: E18, the event management agency and brand solutions provider under Network18, is set to bring the English hard rock band Def Leppard to India in October.

Apart from organizing the event, the entertainment vertical of E18 will also take care of the on ground activation of the concert, taking place on 17 October and 19 October in Bangalore and Mumbai respectively.

“Our B2C events vertical will do the on ground activation for this concert, which means apart from bringing in sponsors for the event, we will also help the band establish and expand their brand identity in India. Thus, we will also help them collaborate with the right media so that they can reach out to the right set of their target audience,” said E18 chief executive officer Farhad Wadia.

E18, which organizes B2B, B2C and corporate events through content ideation and on ground brand solutions, will be organising a five-city tour of the Independence Rock concert in July-end. The tour will encapsulate Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata and Pune.

It will also launch its B2B property, ‘World Strategy Forum’, that aims to bring in world politicians like former US Vice-President Al Gore and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair sometime in December-end.

“Our solutions are more specific to content ideation, content generation and on ground activation. Hence we will be working in the same space for our upcoming events. Once the content is generated, we will start with the on ground brand activation process of these events, which can be both city or state centric. This will help them get in touch with the audience directly. Of course, we will also partner with the media to help our clients reach out to a larger set of the audience,” Wadia said.

"When it comes to advertising in the television space, we can do that through our network which has Viacom18, MTV and Vh1,” Wadia added.

While E18 will bring the theatrical production of Cirque Dreams in Mumbai from October 6 to 13, it will do a five-city live concert featuring Jethro Tull and sitarist Anoushka Shankar in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Hyderabad in November-end.
