MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment television (Set) is in full sway to promote Arslaan, its upcoming fantasy show.

The show, which hits the small screen on 13 July at 7 pm, is a one-hour weekly that will air every Sunday.

"We want to make Arslaan a popular super hero throughout India," says Set AVP Danish Khan.

In an attempt to do so, the channel has created a 'Fauj-E- Arslaan Club' for children. Kids can obtain a membership card of this club by either sending SMS or dropping a form in the drop box, to be placed across 350 schools.

As a part of the on ground activation process, Set will promote the show and the club across these select schools in the key cities of HSM (Hindi speaking market).

Once a member, the participants can send replies to questions, asked after every episode of Arslaan. Every correct reply will fetch them some points and contestants with maximum points will stand a chance to win Arslaan merchandise.

Also, the channel has inked a deal with Zapak.com to launch an online Arslaan game.

Apart from these initiatives, Set has also signed a deal with Diamond Comics, according to which all the Diamond comics will carry four pages of Arslaan strips.

These strips will appear both in Hindi and English.

"Once we figure out the popularity score of the show, we will extend this to other languages where Diamond is present,” adds Khan.

The comics will be available at various stores from next week.
