MUMBAI: Reliance ADAG's online gaming portal Zapak.com will distribute movie merchandise products of LoveStory 2050.

The deal is restricted to three toys - Space Carrier, Space Listener and Boo.

Zapak has taken the exclusive rights from Cartoon Network for these products. Cartoon Network Enterprises has developed over 18 types of customised Love Story 2050 movie merchandise.

Space Carrier is a futuristic vehicle that Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra commute in the movie. It is a remote control operated vehicle which is priced at Rs 999.

The second offering Space Listener is based on the punch line of the movie ‘The future is here’. The battery operated toy helps to listen for things which are being said far away. This is also priced at Rs 999.

Third product 'Boo' is a robot pet from the movie. The two variants are priced at Rs 299 and 499.

Zapak Digital Entertainment Limited chief marketing officer Arun Mehra said, "This tie-up with Lovestory 2050 is our second step in the segment of merchandising. The movie has a futuristic setting and these products will have a complete fit with the kids and gaming fraternity.”

Meanwhile, Zapak has agreed to promote a 3D game based on LoveStory 2050, developed by Rocking Pixel. Zapak will market it at its gameplexes across India.

Rocking Pixels CEO Sanjit Daniel said, “When Love Story 2050 was announced we realized that the movie will be a great fit to showcase our technology as it was futuristic and loaded with special effects. The game will be released as a multiplayer game and will feature game play in a futuristic Mumbai, exactly as depicted in the movie”.

“Zapak will promote this game with our five million registered users and in our gameplex network across the country”, added Mehra.

The toys and game will be available across India with the physical distribution network of Zapak across 75 cities. The merchandise will be sold through 3500 gift, toys and high-end stationery stores.
