Ahluwalia to head consumer initiatives for Rediffusion DYR Delhi

MUMBAI: Rediffusion DYR has roped in Ajay Ahluwalia to head all its consumer touch-point initiatives for Delhi. Prior to this appointment, Ahluwalia was with Vyas Gianetti Creative (VGC) as senior creative director.

Rediffusion | DYR Delhi executive vice president Sandeep Madan said, "As an industry, we are facing a challenge with respect to delivering beyond the conventional media. Clients today seek to excite the consumer beyond his home and obvious reach. Integrated marketing and touch-points are solutions to strengthen brands and hence Ajay's role here is pivotal to that delivery."

At Rediffusion, Ahluwalia will be responsible for the delivery of all BTL, retail design, shopper marketing and activation ideas for clients. He will head a 14-member team comprising designers, content developers and writers. He will also be involved in ideation and execution for all consumer touch-points, except conventional advertising media.

Ajay Ahluwalia said, "I am looking forward to applying my knowledge in a critical and exciting area, rather than the one way street of conventional advertising. The client list of Rediffusion is already an eminent one; taking those brands a step further and bringing the brand experience alive for the consumer in a meaningful manner is going to be a challenging but thrilling experience."

Prior to VGC, Ahluwalia headed the marketing team at Guardian Pharmacy, a retail pharmacy chain. He has also served as creative director at Publicis. Some of the brands he has worked on are Bacardi, Coca-Cola, Fanta, HP, NIIT, Hutch, Perfetti, Nescafe, Kelvinator and Hindustan Times.
