MUMBAI: Subhiksha, a retail chain in India, was conferred the Readers Digest Gold Award after being rated as Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Retail Brand for 2008.

In the Reader's Digest Trusted Brand survey, consumers were asked to nominate their most “trusted brand” in 42 categories across different products and services.

Each named brand had to be rated on six core parameters including trustworthiness, credible image, innovativeness, quality, value and understanding of consumers' needs.
