This
week CNN's Talk Asia host Lorraine Hahn will be interviewing
actor Preity Zinta. During this interview, Zinta talks about her
early days in Bollywood, her favorite co-actor whom she enjoys working
with and her latest movie - Veer Zaara.
This episode will be aired on 18 December at 9:30 am, 7 pm and
10:30 pm. The repeat telecast will be aired on 19 December at 8:30
pm and on 20 December at 9 am.
When asked how she feels when superstars like her are treated like
demi-Gods, Zinta replies, "It's absolutely fabulous when people
come up and say 'my child is your biggest fan, please take a photo
with my child'. And the child is a 11-month old baby. So I think
film is a part of the Indian way of life and it's been that since
years and years and years. Actors in India have a very different
equation than actors anywhere in the world with their audiences,
and I think that's something really special about Indian movies."
During the half-hour interview, the Zinta also discusses how she
chooses her roles, "I think I would like to be part of a film
that's progressive as well as entertaining but should have a message
as well. Basically I want to perform a variety of roles. I think
variety is the spice of life."
Additionally, Zinta chats about her short stint in modeling while
she was only 14 and a half years old and also reveals to viewers
ways in which she spends her personal time relaxing and disconnecting
from her busy schedule.
